LAPD tests knife purportedly found on O.J. Simpson's property
The story is about LAPD finding a knife on the OJ Simpson property. The story is about 700 words long, containing a 27 picture slideshow of the OJ Simpson trial from years ago and 4 videos embedded into the article. The slideshow includes various pictures explaining the backstory of the OJ Simpson trial. There are pictures of the victims of the murder Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Lyle Goldman, their family members, judge, prosecutors, defense attorneys, etc. explaining the role they had in the case and where they are now. It is more like print, but what makes it different is the external links to multimedia that allow the reader to gain more visual knowledge like broadcast. The headline and lead are straight forward and to the point. With the online news article there are many external links and ads that fill the page which may become distracting to the reader.

Police test knife found at OJ Simpson's old house
The print story is very similar to the online one, but a little bit shorter. Just like the online and TV story, they include quotes from the LAPD officer Andrew Neiman. The online story includes more quotes from other sources such as one of the attorney's in the Simpson case and longer quotes from the officer. In the TV story, they don't mention what kind of knife it is, but in The Guardian, they include that it was a "folding buck knife" according to TMZ.

Breaking News: LAPD Speaks On Knife Found at O.J. Simpson's Property
It is a breaking news story on CNN and the clip is about a minute long. It just shows the LAPD officer Andrew Neiman. On the side there are pictures shown of OJ Simpson, the trial, and his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson. He says that the knife has been discovered by LAPD within the last month. As the officer speaks, the details are very similar to the one of the print news and online news sources.
Throughout comparing the three sources, the baseline of the story and details are all the same. Although the OJ Simpson trial happened years ago, it is pretty relevant because it was called the "trial of the century." There has recently been a new mini-series on FX network called The People vs OJ Simpson. Now that this show has recently aired, a lot of attention in the media has been going on to what is true and false with the show. Former football star O.J. Simpson was accused of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Lyle Goldman. He was "not guilty" with the case.
With online news, there are a lot more sources and links to further information to explore more deeply into the subject. There are also a lot of ads, and links to irrelevant news stories. With this story in particular, there was a lot of pictures and videos available to better understand the backstory of the case. The print newspaper story was shorter and not as detailed, maybe because space is limited. On TV, it was a straightforward clip with the officer talking. There's different ways in which one story can be executed, also depending on the news source or company conveying the story. It's important to look into all types of news media outlets in order to gain a diverse perspective on how news is portrayed.
